Bennett Steele joined Chesterfield from Everton in 1958 and spent just one season with the Spireites before being sold to Gateshead but has some lasting memories of the club.
I went along to Bennett's house to record some of his career memories from his encyclopaedic mind. Featuring tactics and training in the 1950's, 'the best headed goal Saltergate ever saw' and playing alongside Gordon Banks. ___________________________________________________________________________
