This week we return to the subject of God’s love, reminding ourselves of the width, length, height, and depth of his love for us, and the power he gives us to love others.
Read Psalm 145:1-21. Do you have an object that makes you feel good about yourself? It might be an item of clothing, or a status symbol like a fast car. Those who experience the width of God’s love find their worth in him.
God’s love is as wide as creation. It encompasses everything. He is gracious in all he does with us.
God never made a person he didn’t love, which means he loves you. His love for you is unconditional – it is not based on how you perform. You do not need to earn his love. If you ever suffer from low self-esteem, if you worry that you are unlovable, then know that you matter to God.
We don’t have to prove our worth or our value. God has already done that. He values you so much he sent his one and only Son to show you. May that be sufficient for you today!
