In this episode, I have the great pleasure to speak with Spiritual Life Coach, PTSD Survivor, and Author Marni Goldman. We talk about her book “True to Myself: Peace, Love, Marni” in which she recounts the suffering and abuse she encountered throughout her life until she chose to open the drapes of her dark rock-bottom basement and let the light enter the room.
Marni explains that it’s a courageous choice to step out of it and that she has been living in a state of “emotional sobriety” where she is aware of her actions and reactions without personal judgment or blame. She also trusts her intuition and gut feelings and puts her trust and faith in the universe to take and guide her to the place she is supposed to be.
We also talk about how to increase positivity and reduce negativity in your life, including how to best handle and deal with Social Media and negative people and family members. Marni also explains that “laughter is the most healing free therapeutic drug on this planet” and that it is contagious spreading good vibes across space and time. She also reminds us that our current situation is not permanent and encourages us to find the silver lining within situations with the realization that accountability is often the cure and key to one’s own recovery.
