Jerilyn Stapleton is a long-time friend and colleague in the Peace Alliance. She was on her way to Chicago for a National NOW conference, and had several challenges in traveling, not the least of which was inadvertently leaving her drivers license at home. Flying out of Burbank, CA, she easily used her SAG Film Society card as identification. Flying out of Chicago, however, she encountered obstacles. It’s a story of being seen, being recognized, and how much our society relies on these small pieces of paper to make each of us a real person. Thankfully, she was able to complete her travels, having met new friends along the way.
