What is the most impactful mindset lesson or tool you've learned along the way? Today I share with you a tip from a mindset guru.

I'm your host, Katie Jefcoat, and the other day, my dear friend Kate Butler posted in her Facebook group and she asked this question: “what is the most impactful mindset lesson or tool you've learned along the way? Mine is below.”
Such an interesting question, right? Well, what is more fascinating was her answer and how it ties in so beautifully to what we've been talking about this week on savoring and mindfulness. She said that “when you hit the snooze alarm, you're actually rejecting the day. Instead, set the actual time you wish to rise, and welcome in the day with delight and gratitude.” That's a truth bomb right there. Right?
So many of us love to hit the snooze button, me included and we end up kind of wasting a good portion of our morning, when we could just set the alarm for when we want to wake up.
I was just talking the other day about how I love to savor my morning coffee and it feels so good. When I have that time to just be present with my own thoughts. I call it gathering my thoughts because I feel like it's always very jumbled. But when I can sit and have my coffee and savor it, I can gather my thoughts.
So if I'm not doing that, because I'm hitting the snooze button, my day doesn't always feel like I'm set up for success. And the universe, as we know, is always listening, saying, “Oh, they don't actually want this day to go well, or they're trying to snooze away the day” when that is really probably not our intention. So I love that we can take action with mindset and reduce the snooze.
