G-SALIH talks opening up for Bas, upcoming album, & Sudan trip ”Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max”
Shoutout to Virginia's own G-SALIH for coming on my show for an interview! G-SALIH talked about originally wanting to be an R&B singer, Usher being a huge influence, and when 90s Hip-Hop spoke to him to create that similar type of style of Hip-Hop. He discussed going to Sudan, how that changed his perspective on life musically and spiritually when coming back to the United States, and getting attention in the Sudanese rap collective The Circle. He got into his DaBaby's Bop on Broadway Freestyle and how he is connecting today's Hip-Hop with the golden age era. He also talked about opening up for Bas, networking in New York, and signing a major deal not being a main goal for him. He announced that he is currently working on his debut album and that he will be releasing it next year. Stay tuned!
