Foreigners have different reasons to live in a foreign land, away from their homeland and all they know. They could be there for education, health reasons, a chance to make their dream come true or perhaps to help the loved ones they had left behind. Perhaps they are there because they have been sent by their employer. Or maybe they had been sent by God Himself, sent with a destiny to help and enrich your community.
A lot of people we have interviewed say that they sensed that God was calling them to come here, to strengthen the church here so that it may reach those far from God, including foreign born internationals. They were sent by the sovereignty of God and we live in this environment of living sent foreigners. Their family may have sent them, their employer may have sent them or they may have sent themselves, driven by a goal in mind. Destiny has sent them out, a gentle push from God and that is why these foreigners live sent. It is already in their DNA. By reaching foreign born internationals with the gospel and then partnering with them, this will open up so many opportunities for all of us. We can change not just our community but the entire world. We will be able to reach everyone and people from around the world will know that God is moving in our community.
