Episode 16– Marriage is a holy matrimony and must be treated as such

Genesis 2.24

“Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the

sexually immoral.” Hebrews 13.4

Concerning Married Life-“Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.” 1 Corin 7.1-2

Adultery

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[e] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5.27-28

Sexual Immorality

“The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute?
Never! 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”[b] 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.[c]

“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins

against their own body.”1 Cor 6.18

“But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[

c] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.”

18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.” 1 Cor 6.13-20

“For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. And likewise, also the men leaving

the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another, men with men, working that which is unseemly, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due...being filled with all unrighteousness and sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness, backbiters, haters of God, violent, disobedient to parents, unforgiving, unloving, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unmerciful...that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1.26-31
