Their story has not been told until now: after the fall of Singapore and the rapid spread of the Japanese military across Southeast Asia, a handful of tough, resolute and daring men were determined to strike back. Led by Ivan Lyon (who had a tiger tattoo across his chest) and organized along the lines of the SOE of Great Britain, Z Special Force deigned a brilliant clandestine operation to blow up Japanese shipping in Singapore harbor!
It took months for the Japanese to figure out how the seven ships were sunk without airplanes, navies or armies. It was a handful of men determined to show the Japanese no one was quitting. It had the psychological affect of the Doolittle Raid: showing the Japanese that the Allies could and would strike back! Their next mission was not as well designed and it ended in the deaths of almost the entire team. Their bravery and sacrifice deserves to be remembered.
