The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) has been under fire from seemingly all corners for years now, but the institution has nevertheless remained fairly impervious to most attacks.
Much of that changed today, however, as the Supreme Court of the United States handed down a 9-0 decision in Alston vs NCAA, removing the trade association's protective security blanket, and suggesting that courts around the country take another look at whether reason can justify the institution's rules..
Oh, and the Court also said a few things which might prove fairly...epic (or apple).
