Twelve-Month Efficacy of an Obesity Prevention Program Targeting Hispanic Families With Preschoolers From Low-Income Backgrounds The presentation of the article awarded Best JNEB Article in 2021 will cover the efficacy trial for a childhood obesity prevention program for Hispanic preschool children and their parents. A randomized control trial with pretest, posttest, 6 and 12 month follow-ups were conducted with 14 waves across 2 sites. Results showed that the SEEDS prevention program positively impacted parental feeding practices, knowledge of best feeding practices, and feeding efficacy. At 12 months, children in the prevention group were less likely to have overweight or obesity.
