David Bowie was such a distinctive musician that it's not surprising that a documentary about the late rock star, "Moonage Daydream," is so quirky. HCC film professors Marie Westhaver and Mike Giuliano talk about him during this podcast episode. Although they have some reservations about things not included in this documentary, they love the music and the musical personality that is zestfully on display here. Marie and Mike also discuss "The Woman King," in which Viola Davis gives an impressive performance as a female warrior in a West African kingdom in the early 19th century. Although Marie and Mike thought the script could be stronger in places, there is much to admire in this battle-filled drama.
