The Not Your Grandmother's Book Club Podcast
News:Politics
This week we finally, at long last actually do our episode on the beginnings of the militia movement in the U.S. After many Benedict caused delays (I assure you) we take a peek at the wild world of woodland camouflage LARPing and the ocassional anti-government terror attack from its roots in the 1990s through its decline in the early 2000s.
We take a look at some of the seminal figures like Linda Thompson, Norm Olsen, Louis Beam, and John Trochman. We also discuss some of the important groups, most notably the Militia of Montana and Michigan Militia, two groups that blazed the way forward on radical right-wing paranoid extremism.
Thanks as always for listening and enjoy the show!
