A) Respond with gentleness and respect: Proverbs 15:1 states that a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs anger. B) Those who slander you: will be put to shame. This doesn’t say “if” they slander you. It says WHEN they slander you. I think we need to get this. C) It is better “if it is God’s will” that we suffer for doing good. Why is that? Because then we are more like Jesus. And tow bi elements of our faith are to share Jesus and to reflect Jesus. D) The results of the process of Jesus’ suffering opened a door that no person could imagine: It created an avenue for people to know God. Only God knows what your suffering will bring.
