Equipping the Saints to Testify by Example - 1 Corinthians

In particular the example set by fathers often has significant impact in the lives of children. As the apostle Paul admonishes the believers at Corinth for their prideful attitudes, he appeals to them as a spiritual father to his beloved children to imitate him not just in what he taught them to believe, but in how they live it out. To not just talk the talk of the gospel, but to walk the walk of sacrificial service and love in Christ. While doing so will not make you popular with the world, it will serve as a powerful testimony and conduit of the transforming grace and power of God in Christ Jesus.
