Trauma to Triumph

11 Soon afterward he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him. 12 As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”14 Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.”15 And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus[b] gave him to his mother. GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH YOU 16 Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and “God has visited his people!” 17 And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country. Luke 7:11-17 

Circumstance is defined as a condition, fact, or event accompanying, conditioning, or determining another.

Declarative statements-

Greater is he that is in me than he is in the world.

You have overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think according to the power at work within us.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is within you and me. 

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?

I am the resurrection.

Why does it seem incredible to any of you that God can raise the dead? Acts 26:8 

Your posture or attitude will determine how you handle your circumstances.

Three things that influence our attitude

1-pre dispositioned by personality

2-perspective brought on from lies of the enemy

3-emotional mental abuse/trauma

Spouse
Siblings
Religious

 

Jesus is on the scene…God is present in every circumstance.

As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. Luke 7:12 

18 But that doesn’t matter. Whether their motives are false or genuine, the message about Christ is being preached either way, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice. Philippians 1:18

Jesus Sees You, Not Your Circumstances.

1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:13

Jesus Steps Into Our Circumstances. 

Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” Luke 7:14 

Encounter Is Nothing If It Doesn’t Transfer Into Transformation. 

God Is Not Through With You Because He Wants To Do Something Through You.
