Tackling unmet needs in chronic myeloid leukemia What’s next in the treatment algorithm
touchSATELLITE SYMPOSIUM for touchONCOLOGY
Listen to a satellite symposium presented by three experts in chronic myeloid leukaemia, Professor Susanne Saussele, the chair for the symposium, and Professors Valentín García Gutiérrez and Massimo Breccia.
The first session led by Professor Valentín García Gutiérrez focuses on the toxicities associated with TKIs used to treat CML and how these affect patient management.
The second session led by Professor Massimo Breccia discusses the unmet needs in patients with CML being treated in the third- or later-line setting and how new and emerging treatments may address these needs.
In the third session, Professor Susanne Saussele reviews the current treatment paradigm for CML, highlighting areas where new and emerging agents may have a role, and indicating therapeutic settings that remain challenging.
The symposium concludes with a discussion of treatment options for three challenging patient case studies.
