In this episode of the podcast Fran Mulligan gets very raw about some of her mental health challenges and how running (and exercise in general) has really helped! Fran is a very driven/focused person who sets a goal and goes after it.
From a young age she wanted to be a vet, so that was her entire focus for a decade or so. Eventually she found running and then triathlon and has pursued a number of goals in this arena. The only things that have slowed her down a little have been have twins and having a major accident on the bike! She is still recovering from the bike accident but is none the less training for her next triathlon.
In this conversation Fran shares what it’s like to have anxiety and now an acquired brain injury and how exercise has been a god send for her.
