Today we read Genesis 10 - 11 and Psalms 2. This is the last two chapters of the Early World period (Genesis 1 through 11) and it is just before we meet Abram and Sarai, who will later be named by God as Abraham and Sarah, the Father and Mother of Israel. We learn about Nimrod and the Tower of Babel. We learn about the importance of the “why” and the posture of our hearts when we do something “for” God when we really want something “from” God or worse, to be like a god instead of being in His likeness and reflecting His image as we were designed to do from the start of creation.
