Enchanted Ears - Anything & Everything Disney
Society & Culture:Places & Travel
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. Before we jump into the main topic, it’s time for a little Disney News!
The opening date for Rodeo Roundup BBQ in Toy Story Land is March 23.
Disneyland’s Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened last week. As per the usual, Disneyland got an upgraded version of the ride with a few small additional scenes and incredible queue theming.
In the latest installment of “Bob Iger thinks the parks are too pricey,” the price of Savvi’s Lightsabers and droids have been decreased. We love how he’s making the parks more affordable and wonder why this isn’t in the news more.
Finally, Disney has patented head-mounted camera display for costumed characters. The invention will give cast members better visibility out of their costumes.
It’s officially the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary celebration, so this week we’re talking about what we see as the company’s highlights over the past 100 years.
We discuss what failures led to the thriving Disney company we know today, how Walt’s loss of Oswald gave rise to Mickey, the innovations made by the company in order to improve entertainment as we know it, the contributions of Eisner and Iger, and how Disney’s changed our culture and the world. It’s an absolutely bananas 100 years. Here’s to 100+ more!
