Jacob continues his journeys, and encounters a being with whom he wrestles the entire night. Jacob believes it is God Himself—and Jacob is renamed “Israel” as a result of this wrestling. Jacob goes from being “the deceiver” to “the one who wrestles with God.” How have our encounters with God changed who we are? Today's reading is from Genesis 32:22-32
