Dear Brethren, Family, and Friends,
I am shocked at how easy weight loss was been once I found the right combination of healthy keto together with intermittent fasting. I was weighing 275 pounds just 6 months ago. Today, February 9, 2023, I am at a healthy 210 pounds.
For a couple of years, I prayed every once in a while about what I needed to do to lose the weight without losing muscle mass. God began to tell me what I needed to get rid of. I obeyed. Weight loss was important to me because I like to work out, and I have 11-year-old triplets. I am 67 years old and must keep my strength and health, spiritually, mentally, and physically to a level where I can teach, instruct, and even play with my young boys. So, I did this healthy keto with intermittent fasting with God’s help and direction, and it worked beautifully for me. I did it more for the children than for me. Of course, it will help with my clothing, youthfulness, and so on, since I am down to a loose size 36, down from a tight-butt 44 at the waist and so on. No more double XX shirts and extra humongous underwear! No more! Ha-ha! Maybe that was TMI!
Praise the Lord, O my soul. Do not forget all his kind deeds. He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who delivers your life from the Pit, who crowns you with his loyal love and compassion, who satisfies your life with good things, so your youth is renewed like an eagle’s. (Psalms 103:3-5 NKJV)
I failed in my fatherly duties in the past with other children (now in their 30’s and 40’s). I failed at raising them right. I started out right but allowed my own ugly disobedience to influence everything in my life. I repented in 1999. God promised me restoration, but I didn’t know how it was going to happen. In the area of raising children, my restoration began with the triplets.
When these triplet boys were born, I vowed to the Lord to do my part to have them grow up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, whatever that would mean for them. (Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4) I have been faithful at keeping my vow.
One of the things I was required by the Lord to do was to home-school these boys. It is a lot of teaching and instruction, but so very important to keep them out of the bad influence that runs wild in many schools. Hopefully, that will change, but it is the best thing for them as they grow up.
The next part of the vow was to diligently instruct them in the Word, take them to a powerful church with anointed leaders and long-standing marriages that would be an example to them. At our church, there are very strong work, business, marriage, and ministry ethics expressed in many ways. I’ve never seen a church like it anywhere, and I have been around. It is truly amazing. That is what is being put in them weekly. Thank you, Lord!
So, whenever someone invites me to preach, I will be coming with my sons. Be ready for it. I will not ever leave them behind. They need to witness the anointing at work mightily in services where I go to minister. Also, it will stir them up to serve the Lord without compromise, and to step into ministry, business, or whatever areas the Lord wants them in. Soon enough, they will be teaching and preaching. They already bring people to salvation, healing and so on. It is amazing to watch their progress in the Lord!
Here is a mighty testimony.
The other day one of my boys threw up his lunch and dinner and then threw up about 3 more times. I was really watching his electrolyte level closely. I watched for the signs of dehydration. You can’t let it go there. My son was quite pale by the time he went to bed. I gave him some electrolyte drink, but that was not what got him healed. He was feeling bad. Of course, we prayed together and applied the Word in the Name of Jesus. The other two boys agreed. They went to bed.
But he lifted up our illnesses, he carried our pain; even though we thought he was being punished, attacked by God, and afflicted for something he had done. He was wounded because of our rebellious deeds, crushed because of our sins; he endured punishment that made us well; because of his wounds we have been healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5 NET)
That is an exact translation of the Hebrew text. These verses were speaking of physical illness and pain, and what Jesus bore for us in His great sacrifice. We don’t have to depend on a literal translation though to understand that Isaiah was speaking of physical healing and not spiritual healing. I write this because many that deny that healing was provided in the sacrifice of Jesus want to refer it all to “spiritual healing.” The Holy Spirit gave us the right interpretation of Isaiah 53:4 in the New Testament.
When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases (Isaiah 53:4).” (Matthew 8:16, 17 NIV)
That is Holy Spirit, anointed, interpretation!
Two of the boys were already in bed sleeping, and I had gone to my room, when I see the boy who had already thrown up 5 times come into my room. He said, “Daddy, I need to get the Word on healing in me a right now and pray fervently. I should not go to sleep now.” I did not expect him to do that. We wound up outside next to the room, and I let him do the praying and finding the Scriptures. I was in for a real surprise. That boy quoted and found many Scriptures and prayed like I have heard few people pray. His fervency, authority, anointing, and perseverance made me cry.
You really don’t know how much of what you put in your children will come out, UNTIL they need it. It was such a blessing to me to hear that all my many hours of teaching them the Word (besides regular school classes), and diligently taking them to church a few times a week had produced powerfully in him. Wow! I helped him find some Scriptures because he could quote them verbatim but wanted to read the reference. Mentally quoting was not enough! He wanted to put his eyes on the Word. This is the Scripture he quoted to me.
My child, pay attention to my words; listen attentively to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight, guard them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and healing to one’s entire body. (Proverbs 4:20-22 NET)
My boy kept doing that, finding Scripture, praying, and speaking the Word with authority. We wound up singing Scriptures before the Lord. Suddenly, he turned to me about an hour or so into this, and he said, “I am done. Whatever that sickness was, it left my body. I felt it leave. I feel so good right now. I’m going to bed.” Not only that, but as I looked at him under the light, his color was completely normal! The next day he woke up refreshed as though nothing happened. Now that is a testimony of a healing, and to God be ALL the glory!
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:11)
Now i pray that you be healed in the Name of Jesus! He redeemed us from the curse of sickness, so now I speak the Word of healing and deliverance to you! Be healed now in Jesus' Name! (Psalms 107:20, Galatians 3:13)
Be blessed in the Name of Jesus!
