Part 4 of my series on bullying is one that every parent and child should listen to together. This week’s guest is a long-time friend of mine, a registered nurse for over 20 years, and one of the most caring people I’ve ever known. Mrs. Shannon Fouts shares the heart-wrenching story of how bullying changed her life forever when she learned that her 15 y/o son had taken his own life and how she has tried to find a way to pick up the pieces and continue moving forward. Shannon explains how she has decided to use her own personal tragedy to try and help others and hopefully bring some light to the harsh realities of what can result from being bullied. Listen in to hear what a beautiful soul Reagan was and how he could mask the signs of his depression.
The way we can honor Reagan’s memory and bring about a positive outcome from this incredible loss is to use his story to help someone else and let others know that there is help out there and that your life does, in fact, matter. If you or someone you know may need help please reference the numbers and agencies listed at the bottom of the page.
