The earthquake, which struck the eastern part of Turkey on Sunday morning, was felt as far away as Greece, Israel and Cyprus. It had a magnitude of 7.2.
The epicenter was in the town of Dogubeyazit near Iran's border with Turkey and Iraq, about 155 miles east of Ankara (the capital).
