My name is Tanja Conway-Grim. I work in a variety of roles across the NHS, with police services and charities, especially in the field of autism, ADHD, neurodiversity, co-production, missing people, and suicide prevention. I sit on various strategic autism boards. I am a qualified trainer, a mentor for a clinical leadership programme for doctors as well as for The Girls Network. As a specialist coach I support neurodivergent people in the workplace. I am the Neurodiversity Lead for the charity Locate International.
I have an HND (Dist) in Animal Science, BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences, and an MRes in Forensic Investigation. Developing training is one of the aspects I enjoy most in my work. I am on the autistic spectrum & have ADHD, and I have lived experience of going missing and growing up in care. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my flock of rare breed, primitive sheep, and my many plants.
During 36 years with the Police and then at CEOP and the National Crime Agency as the Manager for Missing and Abducted Children, Charlie Hedges has amassed a wealth of practical and theoretical experience, nationally and internationally and was also responsible for writing national guidance for the UK Police on missing persons and search procedures.
Since 2015 he has operated independently as Charlie Hedges Advisory, continuing to work in the UK and other countries. His focus is on finding new and better ways to safeguard children and adults, then sharing and implementing the solutions. This has led to the creation of the Missing Persons Information Hub (MPIH), providing a link to all aspects of missing persons.
