Messy: Handling Conflict & Controversy in Church [Part 3]

Would you consider yourself a merciful person?  That’s something worth considering.  We don’t live in a culture that shows much mercy.  We live in a world of cancel-culture, narcissism, victimhood, entitlement, and many other factors that have convinced us everything is ultimately about…us.  Mercy doesn’t really factor into that framework.  I can’t have mercy on you if everything is about me, can I?  Jesus has a very “others” focused mindset that we must adopt if we’re his followers.  It’s odd that Jesus would have mercy on us when he literally had to pay for all of our sins!  If he shows mercy, shouldn’t we?  Listen for one last insight from Jesus on how to handle conflict and controversy in the church.
