In real estate we need to be extremely social and meet with clients when it works best for them leading to nights and weekends work. Getting your license to buy a home may lead to you saving money when purchasing a home by taking the commission. That said there is a lot of work that goes into getting the license and affiliating with a brokerage.  As an investor it is tempting to get a license to save money on the buying and selling process. The problem is that this implies there is no skill or connections needed to buy or sell real estate for maximum profits.
