This is the second of eight episodes in a series detailing the life of French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. This portion of the story covers Napoleon up to the age of 26; detailing a lesser-known side of the military genius - his love life. We will explore Napoleon's relationships in an attempt to understand where his misogynistic and homophobic viewpoints come form. As well as an exploration of the viewpoint that the Emperor may have been either bisexual or a closeted gay man. We will also explore Napoleon's little known trashy romance novel. From there we will look at his first encounter with a prostitute, his first 'love' Desiree and his introduction to his wife, Josephine.
