A) There is no want to those who fear him. Amazingly, David makes a statement just like this in the most famous Psalm ever, Psalm 23:1. That’s where he says, the Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. Here he states that there’s no want if we fear the Lord. The wisdom for a child of God starts with fearing the Lord.
B) Next up and in close association with the prior verse, David (actually, not King yet) says those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. This closely connects to 1 Corinthians Chapter 1:4-7, which says that, in Christ, we come behind in no gift. When we seek the Lord first, the Lord takes care of everything else for us. That’s what Matthew 6:33 is all about. Seek first His kingdom.
C) The next important step in Davids’s communication is for us to understand that the Lord wants us to teach something. People who desire life and understand that only God grants good days need to keep aware of one thing: The tongue can be the great spoiler in life.
