On The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) seems to be gaslighting himself.
He's obsessed with the idea of an illicit romance between Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).
And Liam constructs a fictional narrative in his head, continually making up scenarios he believes Thomas is part of.
Despite reassurances from those around him, Liam's suspicions and constant presence at Forrester Creations exacerbate the situation.
Liam's character has become increasingly needy and clingy, prompting even Hope to comment on the extraordinary effort she makes to reassure him.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) also finds herself uncomfortable as Liam continues to trash-talk Thomas.
Meanwhile, tensions rise when Thomas overhears a conversation he doesn't like, possibly disparaging comments from Hope meant to placate Liam.
The question remains whether Liam's behavior is a case of psychological transference, where he projects his guilt onto Thomas instead of Hope.
Regardless, it's clear that Liam's actions are causing turmoil and that he needs to step back from Forrester Creations.
B&B fans are tiring of Liam's repeat tantrums as he gets himself all worked up and others must soothe his ruffled feathers.
