Keith Elliot Greenberg on Superstar Billy Graham, Dave Meltzer on Owen Hart and more!
This week, Mike takes you through the latest headlines, including the somewhat surprising announcements that DIDN'T happen around AEW's new Saturday Collision Show, as well as several Womens' championships making the news. After that, the show takes a look back at two remarkably influential talents in their own respective generations.
Inside The Ropes and WWE Magazine writer, Multiple best-selling author and historian Keith Elliot Greenberg reflects on the life and times of his friend, "Superstar" Billy Graham. Keith and Mike got to know each other last year, and after hearing Keith speak about Superstar on the Sirius XM show, "Busted Open", Mike followed up with some questions of an era that was after those discussed on that show.
24 years ago this coming Tuesday, May 23, we lost Owen Hart. In a special conversation with the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, Mike McGuire recalls some of the hidden gems in Owen's career between Stampede Wrestling and WWE. Hear about some of Owen's greatest matches in Europe, as well as Japan, and even the rivalries in his home town of Calgary, Alberta, which will hold the finals in AEW's "Owen Hart Foundation Tournament" in 2023.
Fun fact: Owen Hart was part of Mike's first ever wrestling interview, along with his brother Bret Hart, and brother in law, Davey Boy Smith.
