As working Moms, life is and will always be “busy”. But it's important to be intentional and carve out time to connect with our kids despite the busyness. Just as it is crucial for us to have a sense of connection and a supportive community to rely on for ourselves, it is equally vital for our children to have that foundational bond and safety net as well. And as their Moms, we get to hold the privilege and responsibility of cultivating that environment for them.
We all have kids, with their own schedules and commitments - and the list of things on the schedule continues to grow as they age. We can’t wait until we are less busy to build quality time with our kids because in all sincerity, that time will most likely never come. There will always be things battling for our attention no matter what season we are in.
So how exactly do we go about building a deeper connection with our kids? How do we diligently follow this call of intentional motherhood when there are so many other things that we feel or think need our attention first? I have 5 things I’m going to remind us and challenge us to do over the next couple days to help us.
