146. She went from Professional Hairdresser to Restoration Shop Owner and hasn’t looked back.
Guest: Krystal Stone - Vintage Repair and Restoration Shop Owner/Operator
This week's guest grew up tinkering in the garage with her father on vintage snowmobiles in Maine, but despite a lifelong love of all things mechanical she didn’t want her hobby to become her full time job. So she became a Hairstylist instead. However the universe had other plans for her, and the hobby kept pulling at her to do more with it. While still cutting hair full time, Krystal spent all her free time working on her and her friends motorcycles, or helping out at a friends motorcycle shop. For 3 years she worked for a friend doing mobile Dynos at car shows all over the north east, but she struggled with imposter syndrome and was still nervous about going full time into the industry she so clearly loved and had a knack for. Years later she would finally take the plunge when she and her fiancé purchased a vintage specialized shop. She dove in head first, and hasn’t looked back since. Join Bogi and Krystal for a conversation about battling imposter syndrome, running a business, following your passions and going after your dreams in spite of fear! This is definitely an episode of With Her Two Hands you don’t want to miss!
