GUEST OVERVIEW: Shane has been a professional pilot since 1980 and has logged in excess of 22,000 flying hours, approximately 15,000 of those hours as Captain on Airline aircraft. He has held commands on several airline aircraft including the Airbus A330, Boeing 737, Canadair regional jet CRJ200, Westwind jet, SAAB 340, Shorts 330 amd metro liner FA24 and Fairchild Merlin. He has a diploma of aviation (university of South Australia), a masters degree in Human Factors (Swinburne university). He has a certificate in human factors in aviation investigation (ATSB), and a certificate in air accident investigation (University of Southern California). In addition he has a certificate in airline training and checking (Murdoch university).
