Who Am I? - Darryn Wiehahn

In this sermon, Darryn Wiehahn shares his profound transformation from a childhood mired in neglect and abandonment to a life deeply influenced by the gospel and grace of Jesus Christ. He describes how his encounter with a family who genuinely loved him introduced him to the experience of belonging and the concept of divine love, leading him to embrace Christianity and its teachings (Romans 8:14-17; Isaiah 64:8; Psalm 68:5; Matthew 7:11; 2 Corinthians 6:18; Luke 12:22). The preacher passionately warns against the pitfalls of seeking salvation or identity in oneself, others, or religion alone, as these paths ultimately lead to a "spirit of slavery" bound by fear, contrary to the liberating "Spirit of Adoption" that God bestows upon believers (Romans 8:15). The sermon concludes by urging listeners to recognize their divine adoption and intimate relationship with God, encouraging them to respond by relinquishing their fears and false identities and embracing their status as beloved children of God.
