North Platte Post News Director Canon Rath sat down with Deb Skates and Sonja Voycheske to talk about the North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity 25th Anniversary Garden Party.
NORTH PLATTE, NEB. - North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity is celebrating 25 years. For their 25th anniversary, they will be hosting a Garden Party on September 8th from 6pm – 9pm at the home of Al and Cheri Erickson who have been supporters for a long time. During the 25 years Habitat for Humanity has been in the North Platte community, Habitat has built 64 houses.
This event is a special way to celebrate the 25 years that Habitat for Humanity has been in North Platte. “It is a celebration of gratitude,” said Sonja Voycheske. “Habitat for Humanity has been in North Platte for 25 years and this is how we decided this is how we are going to celebrate it and it’s going to be a lovely event in the backyard of Cheri and Al Erickson.” The event will feature live music, adult beverages, and auction items.
Tickets are available for the event, but they are limited to 70. Tickets cost $50 a piece. There are a variety of places where you can get tickets. “They are (tickets) at the Habitat office and they are at Great Plains Reality,” said Dalene Skates.
