Rematches were the name of the game for the show, as in a return bout from their clash at SummerSlam 2012, Triple H would battle Brock Lesnar in a no-disqualification match, where Triple H would be forced to retire if he lost. In addition, CM Punk would battle The Undertaker, The Shield would make their Wrestlemania debut, and Chris Jericho would take on Fandango.
