Retrospect on Cinematographer turned Director Jan de Bont (with Adventures in Movies!’s Blake Heath & Nathaniel Muir)

The wonderful filmmaker who helmed blockbusters like the Speed movies, Twister, Lara Croft 2 and The Haunting remake also previously lensed blockbuster movies for his mentor Paul Verhoeven (Katie Tippel, Turkish Delight, The 4th Man, Flesh + Blood, Basic Instinct) and recurring directors Michael Chapman (All the Right Moves, The Clan of the Cave Bear), Lewis Teague (Cujo, Jewel of the Nile) & John McTiernan (Hunt for Red October, Die Hard).

 

He's also done one-offs as well for other blockbuster filmmakers including Ridley Scott's Black Rain, Joel Schumacher's Flatliners, James Foley's Who's That Girl? and Richard Donner's Lethal Weapon 3.
