Fights break out at Berkeley landlord cocktail party to celebrate the resumption of evictions. - 09-13-23

At a cocktail party thrown by the Berkeley Property Owners Association, landlords celebrated restarting evictions after pandemic rules prevented ousting renters. The “Fall Social Mixer: Celebrating the End of the Eviction Moratorium” was held last night. As you can imagine, it didn’t go over well with renters or their advocates. During a protest at the party, fights broke out, and things got ugly. 

At Google’s antitrust trial in Washington, D.C., the company admitted it is the best basically because all the other search engines suck. Google’s argument is that its not their fault they have no real competition.
