We end this month’s theme of ASSHOLES ON FILM with someone who might be the biggest asshole in all of film. We think he beats Jordan Belfort, Indiana Jones, Jar Jar Binks and every other asshole we’ve discussed this month. It’s time to break the John Hughes seal and dive right into a real piece of work by discussing his 1986 hit “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” starring Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara, Alan Ruck, Jennifer Grey and that guy who is now on a sex offenders registry. This might seem like a fun teen comedy romp about a ne’er do well kid skipping school, and it is also that, but the implications and raw potential of the Ferris Bueller personality to do major damage to society in the future? The implications are horrifying. Dive in with us as we discuss this 80s classic as well as what we mean when we say that FERRIS BUELLER IS ONE OF THE MAJOR FILM ASSHOLES!
