WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR OCTOBER 1, 2023
- U.S. and eastern Canada’s Prairies harvest weather will be disrupted during mid-week and then favorably dry conditions will resume
- Another week of dryness is coming for Russia and Ukraine as well as southern Europe
- India’s monsoon continues to withdraw from the northwest half of the nation
- China’s weather will be drier except from Sichuan, Shaanxi and Hubei into Yunnan where rain is likely this week
- Australia is still expecting rain in the southeast this week wheat Western Australia is dry
- Western Argentina rainfall will continue restricted for at least ten days
- Center west and especially center south Brazil rainfall will increase this week
- Far southern Brazil will trend much wetter again after mid-week this week
- Southeast Asia is still dries in southern Indonesia
- Typhoon Koinu will impact southern Taiwan later this week with possible damaging wind and flooding rain
- No tropical cyclones are threatening the United States for the next two weeks
- Mexico’s drought will not change much this week
