Bold and the Beautiful fans are concerned about the direction of the plotlines in 2023, particularly in relation to the characters of Finn (Tanner Novlan), Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) among others. 

Despite the resolution of the writer's strike, viewers seem frustrated with the issues in the storylines.  Criticism includes the portrayal of Dr. Finn, who is seen as being manipulated by the writers on B&B to make him despicable by association with his birth mother, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). 

This has stirred controversy among the show's fans. Also, Hope Logan's relationship with a mentally ill man has been questioned for its lack of sensitivity and depth on the CBS soap opera. 

There's issues with the writing for Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen). often seen as repetitive and unoriginal. Fans are calling for better and more engaging storylines for Taylor.
