K1 If someone were new in town and asked you why they should go to Cornerstone, what would you say?

G1 Can you think of a time when someone was lying, you knew that they were lying and yet still they maintained that lie? Have you ever done this?
G2 What does John mean when he’s talks about a) light b) darkness? How might be his understanding of light and darkness surprise us?
G3 Read v7: How does being honest about our sins / brokenness lead to fellowship with each other? Wouldn’t it alienate us from each other?
G4 Most of us would never claim that we’ve not sinned. But what are some of the ways we live that seems to say we’re better than we are? Think about how we live, how we portray ourselves, what we choose to let others know etc.
G5 Read v 10: What does John mean that we make God out to be a liar? What does it mean that His word is not in us?
