The Young and the Restless patriarch Victor Newman's (Eric Braeden) recent behavior has sparked several questions among viewers -- and also among his family. 

The latest Y&R promo video for the CBS soap opera has left fans wondering about Victor's health and his intentions towards his family. 

According to the promo, Victor seems to be displaying signs of mental decline or even a health crisis, which has his children, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), along with his wife Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), deeply concerned. 

However, this contradicts the official Young & Restless spoilers that suggest Victor is deliberately testing his family's loyalty. In a recent episode, Victor intentionally confuses the names of his sons, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick, leading to speculations about his mental health. 

However, he later assures Nikki that it was a deliberate act to test his children. Adding to the confusion, Victor appears to be in his right mind during a meeting with his son at the GCAC, further suggesting a scheme.

Despite the conflicting narratives, the promo and spoilers cannot both be true, leaving fans in suspense. See the new Young and Restless promo and why it clashes with known spoilers and recent dialog on the CBS soap opera.
