Two and a half years ago Drew pitched this show idea to Ted, who thought he was pretty much done with blogging. The Vikes were pretty bad, he was sick of writing and talking about bad football, and he just felt like that part of his fandom had run its course. It seemed everyone was into advanced stats and metrics, and no one wanted to watch two Gen-X dudes talk basic stats and do game previews like the old NFL Today show big board, with Brent Musburger and Jimmy 'The Greek' Snyder. Drew convinced Ted to give it a shot, so he did. We all sort of figured we'd do a year or so, maybe 30'ish shows, and if we were lucky, we'd hit 1,000 subscribers. Now we are over 25,000!
From the first moments we started recording episode one, this show felt different. It's fun, funny, and informative without killing people with more numbers and advanced stats than a college math class. 100+ regular shows and 60+ live shows later, instead of winding down, it feels like we're just getting started.
