Grizzlies in the Rockies w/ Maria Davidson / Wild & Uncut / EP 50
On this episode of Wild & Uncut, Kristy Titus sits down with SCI Foundation’s Large Carnivore Conservation Program Manager, Maria Davidson. Kristy and Maria deep dive on the two main projects Maria is focusing on right now, the struggles and successes they’re experiencing and the landscape of grizzlies in the west, looking forward. Grizzlies are possibly the most polarizing issue facing American west, as it pertains to outdoor recreation, ranching and agriculture, and game management/conservation.
Maria recently retired after a 28 year career as the Large Carnivore Program Manager for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Maria coordinated research activities with universities, federal agencies, NGOs and private landowners to address recovery needs of the federally listed Louisiana black bear. Maria now lives in Pinedale, Wyoming and continues to enjoy hunting and fishing with her family and friends.
