We hope everyone had a great Halloween. We’re moving onto Day of the dead. It’s a Mexican tradition where families offer an Ofrenda with pictures, remembering the people they have loved and lost. The idea is a kind and sentimental one and people from other cultures seem to want to play along and dress up for Day of the Dead. Is that a compliment or cultural appropriation?
Speaking of cultural appropriation, a costume contest at the Horseman's in Napa Valley brought out three winners dressed up like Native Americans. Backlash has been so swift and sure, the Napa Valley Horsemen’s association has taken the photo of the winners off of their Facebook page for now.
We will show you the Barbie Halloween house in Livermore and a Halloween display so amazing, people thought a house was on fire and called the fire department.
