Happy Birthday, Edith Schaeffer! November 3, 1914 & November 3, 2023

Today is the first day of The Great Go! Christmas Show! and it marks 109 years since the birth of Edith Rachel Merritt Schaeffer, a woman whose life and thinking and writing has greatly influenced my life, and the way I model ministry and hospitality. The Hidden Art of Homemaking and What Is A Family are 2 books that I pored over diligently in my growing up years. She is a treasure, and the good fruit of her life remains. I celebrate her today with joy and gratefulness, as I do every November 3!
