General Hospital comings and goings updates say Nathanyael Grey, the actor who portrayed the malevolent Mason Gatlin, has wrapped up his role on the ABC soap opera. 

Mason's exit comes after a tense storyline where he threatened Austin Gatlin-Holt, played by Roger Howarth, and made a failed attempt on Ava Jerome's, portrayed by Maura West, life. 

This leads Mason straight from a General Hospital bed to a Pentonville prison cell, with a potential sentence of 20 years. Mason's fate was confirmed by showrunner Frank Valentini in a tweet. 

Despite Mason's exit, there is speculation that Nathanyael Grey's villainous character could return in the future. Meanwhile, Tracy Quartermaine remains out of town. 

In other GH casting news, Ellen Travolta is set to appear in the Thanksgiving episode, adding to the Quartermaine house's festive chaos.
