It’s Another Day with Jim and Bill-Episode 493-Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced that he was leaving Congress at the end of the year reducing the majority yet again-we talk about it
Welcome to the Thursday edition of “It’s Another Day with Jim and Bill”. Yesterday, former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy announced that he was leaving Congress at the end of the year, thus reducing the majority yet again. Just last week the Republicans' slim four-vote majority shrank by 25% when they voted to oust New York Congressman George Santos. Now…with McCarthy leaving their majority will be paper thin…just two measly votes…something that can disappear in a light breeze. The Republicans seem to be doing what they do best…seizing defeat from the jaws of victory. If McCarthy was trying to ‘help the people’ and ‘the party’, why is he leaving so abruptly? Why didn’t he wait until the end of his term? Or is he simply being vindictive? From our vantage point, it appears to be the latter. We talk about this and much more on a very busy program. Thank you, as always, for tuning in.
